Let’s paint a picture for a peaceful world….. If only Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and their likes in the east had the foresight to abandon the US now, it would surely make the world a better and more peaceful place, even perhaps more prosperous. Imagine a world where the Middle East could just get on with their lives, with Africa finally getting to live to their potential and who knows, perhaps India and Pakistan just getting along, wouldn't that be something nice. This seems to be a beautiful picture but unfortunately we have to understand that Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Taiwan all these nations are not in a position to abandon the US. The US won't let that happen as they have more than 130 permanent military bases on Japanese territory, Japan is under permanent US military operation and so is South Korea.
